Ilaamen is an American visual artist born in Guatemala and based in Omaha Nebraska; with a background in illustration she's been creating art full time since 2015. Her art is colorful, warm and happy just like her heritage, a celebration of the little joys of everyday life. Her emphasis is in storytelling, and her pieces have a strong figurative and graphic line. Her work is mainly done with acrylic paint but her interest in captivating stories and her experience with composition and contrast allow her to explore different medias as well; like photography, digital art, new media, etc. She has participated in more than 30 exhibitions in Omaha, Lincoln, Sioux City, Los Angeles, Santa Monica and San Diego, Portland and 3 local solo shows. Her art can be found in private collections around Europe, Asia, Africa, and Central America.
